\nElle explique \u00e0 MFM News qu’elle vit \u00e0 Texel, une petite et tr\u00e8s jolie \u00eele, l’une des \u00eeles de la Frise occidentale, dans le nord-ouest des Pays-Bas. Wageningen Marine Research<\/a><\/strong> o\u00f9 elle travaille pour Wageningen Marine Research, o\u00f9 elle \u00e9tudie l’ingestion de plastique par les Fulmars bor\u00e9aux<\/a><\/strong> Fulmarus glacialis<\/em> en mer du Nord et ailleurs.

\nOutre ses recherches sur l’ingestion de plastique, Susanne \u00e9crit : \u00ab\u00a0En outre, je participe \u00e0 des exp\u00e9ditions de recherche dans les r\u00e9gions polaires, o\u00f9 nous \u00e9tudions la r\u00e9partition des oiseaux de mer (et des mammif\u00e8res marins) et leur r\u00e9gime alimentaire en relation avec la glace de mer. Susanne K\u00fchn \u00e9tudie les plastiques ing\u00e9r\u00e9s dans son laboratoire.<\/em><\/p><\/div> Elle poursuit : \u00ab\u00a0De nombreux d\u00e9fis environnementaux auxquels les oiseaux de mer sont actuellement confront\u00e9s sont extr\u00eamement complexes. L’\u00e9radication des souris invasives, en revanche, semble \u00eatre un plan tr\u00e8s logique et direct qui a montr\u00e9 un impact direct et un grand succ\u00e8s sur d’autres \u00eeles (avec \u00e9videmment une logistique tr\u00e8s complexe, etc., sans aucun doute). En faisant un don, je peux contribuer au moins un peu \u00e0 contrer le g\u00e2chis que nous, en tant qu’humains, avons cr\u00e9\u00e9 pour les oiseaux de mer\u00a0\u00bb.
